Can i send a picture from my email to my husbands cell phone? how?

i tried to do it, by sending it to the address that was listed in my email from a picture message he sent me a little while ago. it came back with a failure to send. is this possible? and how do i do it? thanks! hes gone away for work overnight and i just want to remind him whats waiting for him when he gets home :)
