What is the pop3 name server on my email account and what is my smtp out mail server?
Yahoo is pop.yahoo.com for incoming and smtp.yahoo.com for outgoing. Unless you have Mail Plus from yahoo, though, this will not work. You have to pay for the service.

Why doesn't my Avatar stare pleasantly back at me from my email anymore?
My Avatar used to stare back at me as though I were looking at a mirror when I opened up my email and cheer me up a little if I were in a bad mood but now the Avatar picture no longer appears. Why not?

Sign out and close ALL browsers (windows) I would clear History and my cache! Under Tools and Internet Options.

i would check with your service provider, only because I have seem people get blackberrys and thier service provider forgets to connect the email or internet service. So if this is the case, theres nothing you can do but call your service provider and have them check to make sure your connect. They are billing you either way so give them a call.

You need to go to your mail and sign out. Go back to mail and it should be blank. You need to uncheck the "Keep me signed in for 2 weeks". If that doesn't work you need to clean out your browser cache. To do that go to tools and click the delete browsing history.

Scan your pc with antivirus - if you don't have any, download Avast - during installation it will prompt you to run a boot time scan - say yes - when you eventually reboot Avast will scan your system - free here

If I were you, I would re-try as I myself had problems with this thing once or twice...perseverence is good...if not, you should try sending them over Yahoo! Messenger :) that should help.

OK well first it sounds like your trying to hack in to an area your not suppose to be in, and its totally illegal.
Your trying to do something that your user credentials simply don't have privileges to perform or access.
I don't mean to offend you and I could be taken this all wrong but it seems like your asking us to tell you how to by pass a security feature from your home PC located at a work place L O L.
This would be your best bet, talk to the administrator and see what can be done, because in all honesty I would hate to be the person who got you arrested for making a minuscule mistake.

put the files in RAR format with the program WINRAR. it will make the files smaller and when you extract the RAR files all your music will be in it. but once you've put it in RAR format. put the RAR folder on a 16 gig flash drive, you could probably buy one at best buy or somewhere for really cheap... thats the easiest and cheapest way, I assure you.

Go into the spam box and check mark the item you wish to keep. Click on the 'Not spam' button and it will be returned to your in box, also allowing that address to be delivered to the in box from now on. However, go in periodically and check to insure all items are spam.
Reply:To keep mail out of the spam box, the sender's address must be in your address book or contacts. You can't do that with Answers because you don't know the person answering the question. All you can do is check often when you ask a question and move the message back to your inbox.

I can log on to my email, read, and download from it. When I go to delete, mark as spam, forward, or send an email I get an error #14 saying there was no SOAP-ENV:Body in the xml payload sent by the server. mcafee doesn't say there's a virus or anything wrong. I'm lost... RDM

Different things seem to work for different people. Because Word does not recognize Eudora as the email program, and is apparently not the email editor in Eudora. I don't use Eudora, so I don't know the steps to do this, but if you are able to select your email editor, and Word is one of those choices, then select it and that might solve the problem.

How can I tell if my sent email has been read by the recipient?
You can't... unless you request a receipt. It's an option on your email message page. When the recipient receives your email, they get a message asking if they want to return the receipt, to notify you that they read they email. They can then acknowledge receipt, or cancel and not read it.

My internet got cut off because of a bill problem. Why do they have to take away my email address too?
Now, i can't even check me email on a different computer.

Reply:Because your account is probably one that is provided from your provider in specific. When the account goes so does all accesses.
When you get you net back, or even from any accessable computer, make yourself an email account off the net. Such as Yahoo or any, and then when you loose an net account your email will still be available off other PC's.
**thats not necessarily true *Johnathon* as many times the provider makes mistakes. A friend lost hers due to this, and she has never been late or ignored a paid a bill. In fact at one time, I had a bout with lightening and had no PC for a few months. When I got a new one, I still had service. I was NOT sent a bill for about a year! I imagine I could still have it now with no bill had I not myself shut it off due to wanting something else. My husband and I simpley thought the other was paying it.....it only was only realized between us when we discussed switching companies.
Let's not pressume its an adult or even bill payer asking the question. It very well may have been a young person asking a legitiment question and her parents pay the bills...........we also dont know what emergancies and such occur in ones life that caused a shortage or mishap of net. Its more childish to attack for the question asked on pressumtion than to ask the question itself.

This will restore your Mail options

then move it to a place where you want it, when you open windows media player, press F3 click add, add the folder than contains the video, and there you go :P

on the general tab you will see opens with , click on change..
select microsoft word if it's in the list, if not than just browse and select it somewhere in program files folder , look for the application with the exe extension

Click on Tools -%26gt; Folder Options -%26gt; File Types tab. Scroll down to extension DOC and see what file type it is set to. If its Wordpad, then click Change and select Word.

Hi, How can I use Microsoft Word to open microsoft word attachments in my yahoo email rather that word pad?
I dont know how to put MS Word in my email. And I can't convert the word pad to MS Word becauses it messes up the work. Please help. Thank You!

look for a wordpad document on your computer
right click, select properties
on the general tab you will see opens with , click on change..
select microsoft word if it's in the list, if not than just browse and select it somewhere in program files folder , look for the application with the exe extension
Not knowing something it's OK you cant be born with all the knowledge on this planet like the guy above . Don't worry you doing good and asking a question doesn't hurt anyone
Reply:Download the attachment to your desk top. Right click the document and it should give you an "open with" option. Clikc on MSWord. You can also open MSWord and under the "File" menu choose "open" and select your document. Doing this after you've downloaded it of course. Hope this helps!
Reply:If it has an extension of .DOC then it should automatically open in Word, however, your file type setup for .doc could be pointing to Wordpad. To fix this, open Windows Explorer. Click on Tools -%26gt; Folder Options -%26gt; File Types tab. Scroll down to extension DOC and see what file type it is set to. If its Wordpad, then click Change and select Word.
Reply:I will assume you are talking about a DOC file. If you open Windows Explorer you can right click on any Doc file that you see. Choose "open with" then "choose program". Go down the list and click on Word then click the check box that says "always use". Click OK and back out of Explorer. Now any Doc file you open will go to word. This method works the same to choose a an opening program for graphics files also (jpg,gif,etc). Good luck

by default the yahoo will open it in only wordpad
