Why doesn't my Avatar stare pleasantly back at me from my email anymore?

My Avatar used to stare back at me as though I were looking at a mirror when I opened up my email and cheer me up a little if I were in a bad mood but now the Avatar picture no longer appears. Why not?

Yahoo removed our avatars from the mail page when they upgraded the classic mail. It won't be back. I miss mine too. So cheerie.
