In Word (2003) my email icon is alway gray. How do I make it active?

I use Eudora as my email program.
In Word (2003) my email icon is alway gray. How do I make it active?
Because Word does not recognize Eudora as the email program, and is apparently not the email editor in Eudora. I don't use Eudora, so I don't know the steps to do this, but if you are able to select your email editor, and Word is one of those choices, then select it and that might solve the problem.
