Can he use it in court against me since technically it was illegally obtained?

Yes ..... he's not subject to the laws regarding search and seizure that law enforcement is faced with.

Reply:It used to be husbands and wives could not testify against each other in certain cases but he probably will against you. Just delete the email and wipe out the account. If he has made copies it may be a problem. Depending of what you are afraid of see a lawyer..You may need one.
Reply:Change your password and delete your files, or start a new e-mail at once and then deal with him.
