Hi, How can I use Microsoft Word to open microsoft word attachments in my yahoo email rather that word pad?

I dont know how to put MS Word in my email. And I can't convert the word pad to MS Word becauses it messes up the work. Please help. Thank You!

look for a wordpad document on your computer


right click, select properties


on the general tab you will see opens with , click on change..


select microsoft word if it's in the list, if not than just browse and select it somewhere in program files folder , look for the application with the exe extension


Not knowing something it's OK you cant be born with all the knowledge on this planet like the guy above . Don't worry you doing good and asking a question doesn't hurt anyone
Reply:Download the attachment to your desk top. Right click the document and it should give you an "open with" option. Clikc on MSWord. You can also open MSWord and under the "File" menu choose "open" and select your document. Doing this after you've downloaded it of course. Hope this helps!
Reply:If it has an extension of .DOC then it should automatically open in Word, however, your file type setup for .doc could be pointing to Wordpad. To fix this, open Windows Explorer. Click on Tools -%26gt; Folder Options -%26gt; File Types tab. Scroll down to extension DOC and see what file type it is set to. If its Wordpad, then click Change and select Word.
Reply:I will assume you are talking about a DOC file. If you open Windows Explorer you can right click on any Doc file that you see. Choose "open with" then "choose program". Go down the list and click on Word then click the check box that says "always use". Click OK and back out of Explorer. Now any Doc file you open will go to word. This method works the same to choose a an opening program for graphics files also (jpg,gif,etc). Good luck

by default the yahoo will open it in only wordpad
