I've just installed YM. How do I get it to use my Yahoo email account instead of outlook please?

I am PC illiterate. I have installed Yahoo Messenger but when I try to send a mail to a contact it is not using my my Yahoo email address but Outlook Express.

1. From the “Start” pop-up menu in the lower left corner of your desktop, select “Settings” ▶ “Control Panel”.


2. In the Control Panel, select “Internet Options”. This opens the “Internet Properties” window.


3. Click the “Programs” tab along the top.


4. Click the “E-mail” pull-down menu, and select Yahoo! Mail*





Click OK.

Reply:hi there. go into your yahoo profile %26amp; edit. you may have your alternate email on there and you can uncheck that and check for emails to go to yahoo email. its really simple once you go to the profile area.
