I do not want this junk and is it properly checked for content when I mark it as spam?

Marking an email as spam should automatically add the sender to your blocked addresses, unless you have exceeded the number of blocked addresses you are allowed ( 500). On your Yahoo mail page in the upper right corner you will see OPTIONS. Click on it and scan down the page to BLOCKED ADDRESSES. Select that option and it will display your list of blocked addresses, the number of addresses blocked and how many you allowed to have. It also provides you a way to manually add a blocked address.
