How do i send a picture email on my Cingular Samsung SGH-d807?

i just got this phone today and for some reason the 123 alphabet will not let me change to ABC and i cant send the pictures i took to my email, please provide a step by step process on how to do this.

hit the "*" (star) key and you will see the little 123 turn into abc.... then the 1 key.... hit that a few times to get to the @ for the email.com part....
