ive never had a problem getting any of my email accounts to sync with my berry. try to do a reset and re run the email set up program.

Reply:After seeing this question I went and tried this myself. I came to the conclusion that you cannot find out someones without personally asking them. I guess it is just anti-predator stuff.

How do I go about getting a domain name or whatever in order to have my own email address?
I want to be able to have a professional sounding email address but not necessarily a website at this point in time..is this possible? and how would such an email work??

You can buy a domain name at https://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/rhp/...
For a .com site, GoDaddy sells it at $8.95 a year but this site does it for $8.49 a year. When you register for a domain name, you can an email account for free too. To get a domain name though, you will need to come up with something that is not already taken. Once you have registered, you will need to create an account. And then you can click on Email on their navigation menu to access your email account.
Reply:First, you need to register an internet domain name - something like "www.mydomainname.com".
Most web registration firms also allow you to set up an e-mail address using this - like mail@mydomainname.com - and then forward e-mails to your current e-mail address with your ISP.
Its kind of like having a PO Box address for snail mail.
It looks the business and also means that you can switch ISP's whilst still keeping the same published e-mail address - you just amend the mail forwarding.

Whomever you choose, don't choose solely or primarily because of price. You might end up paying you more than you bargained for.

You then signup for either website or email hosting or both, although both is probably more practical depending on your short and/or longterm goal/s. Your provider should then give you some information (called nameservers) for you to input in your domain name account.
Contact both your domain and email/website provider for more specifics.
